Statement of work: "This painting is inspired by the coastal city of Bejaia, Algeria. I have spent years working with and becoming friends with the Berber community living in Columbus that are from Bejaia and they all talk about how beautiful it is. After seeing all the photos and falling in love with the people and their culture I was inspired to paint an abstract landscape using the city as a reference point."
